VILNIUS, December 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Lithuania hopes that dialogue with Russia will be based on the principles of transparency and sincerity, the Baltic state’s President Dalia Grybauskaite said on Thursday receiving credentials from new Russian ambassador Alexander Udaltsov.
“Only sincere and transparent dialogue with respect to international agreements and observation of international obligations can make Lithuanian-Russian cooperation effective,” she said.
Grybauskaite said her country hoped for maintaining neighborly, mutually advantageous relations with Russia based on the respect of partners to each other.
