Ukraine not to sign agreements with Customs Union

Ukraine's PM said Ukraine would continue talks about association with the European Union

KIEV, December 11. /ITAR-TASS/.Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said there will be no agreements between Ukraine and the Customs Union.

The Ukrainian government is not preparing any agreements for signing, Azarov told a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

On December 17, the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission will not sign any documents on integration into the Customs Union, he reiterated.

"There'll be no talk about the Customs Union. The government is not preparing any documents. I wish to deny all this speculation beforehand," Azarov said.

He said Ukraine would continue talks about association with the European Union. "A Ukrainian government delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Arbuzov has left for talks with the EU. We suggest discussing the principles of minimizing the risks for our economy and participation in large infrastructure projects," Azarov said.
