The rally is organised in the Mariinsky Park not far from the building of the Verkhovna Rada /parliament/. The event’s slogan is “Let’s Build Europe in Ukraine.” The party’s press service reports “the speakers are calling for a peaceful settlement of the situation and condemn the actions of the opposing forces, aimed at splitting the society.”
Itar-Tass correspondent sees the square in front of the Verkhovna Rada and part of Grushevsky Street, which the governmental buildings are overlooking, is full of people supporting the Party of Regions. The situation in the district is calm now.
