Detectives gather guilty evidence in road grader incident at Ukraine presidential staff

KIEV, December 08, 3:17 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian investigating bodies have the testimony of witnesses and the video records of the incident, which occurred at the country’s presidential staff in Kiev’s Bankovaya Street, where the extremists had used a road grader to break through a cordon of police commandoes on December 1, deputy head of the main investigation department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry Oleg Tatarov told reporters here on Saturday. He recalled that the Shevchenkovsky court in Kiev had ruled to put in custody two active participants of this illegal action.

One of them “helped to seize illegally a vehicle with the use of threats” and headed the group of people, who had brought the road grader to the Ukrainian presidential staff building, Tatarov said. “The second active participant of the illegal action was behind the wheel of a tractor and was running into the policemen, putting their health and life under threat,” he added.

“The detectives have gathered the guilty evidence against these people based on the testimony of witnesses and injured parties,” the high-ranking official of the main investigation department said. “The material evidence has been gathered at the incident site, clear video records are available that show who was driving a road grader in Bankovaya Street and how,” he said. The detectives will continue to expose masterminds, perpetrators and coordinators of massive disorders, he said in conclusion.
