Ukrainian government to submit 2014 draft budget to parliament soon- minister

KIEV, December 07, 19:02 /ITAR-TASS/. The Ukrainian government is planning to submit the 2014 draft state budget for approval to parliament or Verkhovnaya Rada soon, Alexander Klimenko, Ukraine’s minister of revenues and duties, told journalists on Thursday.

“Today, we are considering all options so as to have a clear understanding of a picture which we are going to have in 2014 and the risks which may arise. We can see ways of avoiding them already today,” Klimenko emphasized.

He said that his Ministry had already sent all the necessary calculations to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, including proposals on customs fees and taxes. He said he was confident that Ukrainian parliament would vote for the 2014 budget.

According to Klimenko, the government plans to send the draft budget to parliament as soon as possible. “I hope that it will be adopted,” he said.
