Damascus gives permission for humanitarian aid deliveries from neighbouring states

The only exception is the border with Turkey

UNITED NATIONS, December 03, 21:32 /ITAR-TASS/. The United Nations has received Damascus’ permit to organize humanitarian aid deliveries directly from neighbouring countries, Baroness Valerie Amos, the United Nations under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, told journalists on Tuesday.

The only exception, in her words, is the border with Turkey, since the Syrian authorities say they cannot guarantee security there.
