1,000 people gather near parliament in Ukrainian capital

KIEV, December 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Over 1,000 people have gathered near the parliament building in the center of the Ukrainian capital, while the barricaded Independence Square nearby is not crowded yet.

The entrance to the parliament is blocked by the Berkut special task force police. Mikhail Grushevsky Street blocked by buses is quite packed.

Some 500 people gathered near the government building guarded by police. A group of some 400 youngsters has been forming in Sadovaya Street nearby.

Opposition activists are chanting anti-government slogans, but the situation is still relatively calm.
