KIEV, December 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Several thousand supporters of European integration of Ukraine have encircled along the parameter the country’s governmental building and have blocked all entrances in it. The protesters recommend members of the Cabinet “to go home,” because a general strike was announced in the country.
The protesters came to the government building from Independence Square on Monday. They demand a dismissal of the government.
Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko has earlier appealed to the demonstrators to protest only at the government building, not to go to the Ukrainian presidential administration building, where the protesters attempted to break through the police cordons last Sunday. In the words of Lutsenko, the opposition will be protesting at the government building “until the orders are given to come back to Independence Square.
