Klitchko: clashes near presidential administration building were provoked by authorities

KIEV, December 01, (ITAR-TASS). Leader of Ukraine’s opposition party UDAR Vitaly Klitchko has described the situation around the building of the Ukrainian president’s administration, where a group of people used a bulldozer to break through police cordons and threw smoke bombs, as a provocation of the authorities.

“The storming of the presidential administration building is a provocation staged by the authorities to discredit the peaceful action in Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square),” the UDAR press service quoted Klitchko as saying on Sunday. “We shall do our best to prevent bloodshed, which the authorities are seeking to do.” He said that the opposition leaders planned to come to the presidential administration building later on Sunday.
