KIEV, December 01, 18:46 /ITAR-TASS/. Activists from the Ukrainian nationalist party Svoboda (Liberty) have seized the building of the Kiev city administration and plan to set up a “revolutionary headquarters” here.
Nationalists promise to see to it that law and order be observed in the building. A party activist, Yuri Levchenko, called on people to behave decently, to gather in the assembly hall and not to try to break into other rooms in the building.
“You may like it or not, but this is the beginning of a revolution in Ukraine,” Svoboda leader Oleg Tyagnibok said. “A podium and a tent camp will be placed in Maidan (Independence Square). Activists will organize national resistance headquarters in each regional centre.
