KIEV, December 01, 11:53 /ITAR-TASS/. A numerous group of demonstrators from Western Ukraine is driving towards Kiev to participate in a people’s assembly (veche), which the opposition intends to hold in central Kiev on Sunday starting from 12:00 local time (14:00 Moscow time) on Sunday.
“More than a hundred of buses and cars are driving from the city of Lvov alone overnight to Sunday to the Ukrainian capital,” Ukrainian Channel Five reported. Several dozen cars went to Kiev from Vinnitsa and Lutsk. The motorcade of 50 minivans is driving from Ivano-Frankovsk. Several dozen cars will leave Zhitomir for Kiev on Sunday morning.
Western Ukrainian oppositionists plan to arrive in Kiev at about 11:00 local time (13:00 Moscow time) on Sunday. From the park named after Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, where a people’s assembly will begin, the demonstrators will march on Kreshchatik Avenue to Independence Square.
