Georgia initials association agreement with EU in Vilnius

VILNIUS, November 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Georgia initialed the association agreement with the European Union.

The document was signed here on Friday by Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

According to representatives of the EU and Georgia, the agreement is expected to be signed by September 2014.

The parties also signed an agreement establishing a framework for Georgia’s taking part in EU crisis management operations.
