Turkmenistan's president cancels visit to Thailand due to unforeseen circumstances

BANGKOK, November 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov has cancelled a three-day visit to Thailand due to unforeseen complications, the Thai Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

The visit was to begin Saturday, November 30.

The ministry said Turkmenistan had sent official notified the Thai government on the cancellation of the visit.

As of Monday, Bangkok is the scene of unending actions of protest organized by the political opposition, which is blocking the buildings of government agencies. According to the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports, 29 countries including Russia have issued warnings to their citizens against trips to Bangkok.
