UNITED NATIONS ORGANISATION, November 25./ITAR-TASS/. The Geneva II Peace Conference on Syria will be held on January 22, 2014, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Monday.
“The U.N. Secretary-General said he would convene the conference on Syria in Geneva on Wednesday, January 22. Thus, the Syrian government and the opposition will sit down to the negotiating table for the first time since the conflict has begun,” the United Nations Organisation said in a press release.
