KIEV, November 24, 15:33 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine should not sign the association agreement with the European Union in its current form, an MP representing the ruling Party of Regions, Nestor Shufrich said during a rally - Building Europe in Ukraine.
“First of all, we should develop partner relations with Europe and mind the interests of our agriculture and industries,” he added.
President of the country’s union of industrialists and entrepreneurs Anatoly Kinakh said: “We do not doubts Ukraine will inevitably integrate into the European space, but it is very important to see we do not become Europe’s raw materials appendage.”
The rally is organised by Ukraine’s union of industrialists and entrepreneurs, trade unions federation, transport and grain unions. The police say about 10,000 are participating in it.
