GENEVA, November 23 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held bilateral meetings in Geneva on Friday with Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton. The details are not disclosed.
Lavrov arrived in Geneva on Thursday evening to proceed to Intercontinental hotel, where a series of contacts is underway within the framework of Teheran’s talks with the sextet of international mediators (five permanent members of the Security Council and Germany).
As a Russian Foreign Ministry source said earlier, Lavrov will discuss the Iranian nuclear program. His meeting with special UN and LAS representative for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi is possible.
