GENEVA, November 22, 23:35 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who arrived in Geneva late on Friday on the Iranian nuclear programme, has begun meeting with European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
Shortly after arrival, the Russian foreign minister met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.
A source in the Russian foreign ministry’s information department told Itar-Tass earlier that the Russian foreign minister also planned to meet with United Nations/League of Arab States Special Envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi.
