MOSCOW, November 19, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry within next few days. The Russian foreign minister has made a statement on the issue after the talks with the Syrian governmental delegation in the Russian capital on Tuesday.
“The day before yesterday I had a conversation with Kerry and we agreed on a meeting within next few days,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov noted that the problems of Syrian resolution were discussed in the telephone conversation. The Russian minister noted that the positions of Russia and the United States coincide on this issue that it should be settled through the political dialogue with due account of the opinion of representatives of the whole spectrum of Syrian society.
