Iran's Deputy FM: Iran military advisors consult Syrian army on counter-terrorism struggle

MOSCOW, November 19, 10:48 /ITAR-TASS/. Iranian military advisors are consulting the Syrian military on the struggle against terrorism, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahiyan told a news conference here on Tuesday.

“After we received the information from the United Nations Organization that Islamic militants from Europe, China and other countries are rampaging in Syria, we have sent military advisors to help in the struggle against terrorism,” he said.

“The aid to Syria in the struggle against terrorists is the task of the whole international community,” Abdollahiyan said.

The Iranian diplomat also noted that the country “did not send either military units or weapons to Syria.
