MOSCOW, November 18, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia has supplied new four Mi-171E transport helicopters to China under a contract between Rosoboronexport and Poly Technologies, Russian Helicopters Holding head Roman Kirillov told Itar-Tass.
Under the contract, Russia should supply 52 Mi-171E helicopters to China. “As of today China has gotten 32 helicopters,” Kirillov said, adding the final batch would be given in 2014.
The new helicopters are equipped with technology, which increase efficiency of the work at high altitudes.
Chinese crews underwent successful training in an aviation centre in Ulan Ude, Buryatia, Kirillov said.
