Putin believes there is a “real chance” to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue

Russia's, Iran's presidents discussed bilateral and international affairs over telephone

The world community has a real change to find the solution to the Iranian nuclear problem which has persisted for several years, Vladimir Putin said during a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani, which was initiated by the Russian side.

In Turn, Iran’s president has praise Russia’s activity within the framework of the P5+1 talks, Kremlin’s press service reported.

The presidents also touched upon “relevant issues of bilateral relations, in particular regarding to implementing agreements which were reached during meeting of presidents of Russia and Iran in Bishkek September 13.”

Leaders of the two countries have exchanged opinions on international affairs. The press service noted that “After carefully considering the Syrian situation they have confirmed adherence to peaceful resolution of the conflict and noted importance of efforts taken towards preparing the Geneva 2 conference.”
