BANGKOK, November 9 (Itar-Tass) - One Russian woman died and seven Russians were injured in a traffic accident in Thailand's resort of Pattaya, a source at the Russian Embassy in the country told Itar-Tass.

According to the updated information, a 37-year-old woman died. One man and two women are in hospital. Other four Russians were slightly injured and were not hospitalized, the source said, adding that the embassy made inquires to identify the people.

The accident occurred on the Pattaya embankment on Friday evening. A German citizen lost control of his car and collided with another car that struck the taxi, in which the Russians were. The driver is detained by police.
