BANGKOK, November 12, 12:59 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian businessman Sergei Polonsky, accused of grand theft in Russia, is kept in a pre-trial detention center of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, awaiting a court's decision, head of the consulate department of the Russian Embassy in Cambodia Pavel Seskanov told Itar-Tass.

"He has not complained about the prison conditions. He's awaiting a hearing," Seskanov said.

Earlier it was reported that Cambodian authorities have no intention to delay the extradition of Russian businessman Sergei Polonsky, accused of theft of 5.7 billion rubles (over $170 million) from investigators in a Moscow housing construction project. "Polonsky will be extradited to Russia as soon as possible," the Cambodia Daily quoted police spokesman Lt-Gen Kirt Chantharith as saying.
