MOSCOW, October 30 (Itar-Tass) - An Agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and Japan on streamlining the procedures for the issue of visas to the citizens of the RF and Japan enters into force on Wednesday, an RF Foreign Ministry official said.

The Agreement, signed in Tokyo on January 28, 2012, "envisions the possibility of filing direct invitations by citizens and organizations, as well as the possibility of the issue of multiple visas to the citizens of the two countries for a term of up to three years with the observance of a number of conditions," the Ministry official pointed out.

"The streamlining of the visa procedures will contribute to strengthening friendly ties, to developing cooperation and to revitalizing exchanges between Russia and Japan," the official said.
