South Korean navy rescues North Korean fishery ship

South Korean coast guards have salvaged a North Korean fishery boat that was drifting in the Sea of Japan

SEOUL, October 27 (Itar-Tass) - South Korean coast guards have salvaged a North Korean fishery boat that was drifting in the Sea of Japan, an official spokesman for the South Korean Armed Forces said Sunday.

He said the North Korean boat with a failed engine unit had been tracked down in the South Korean territorial waters and towed to the port of Kojin. It was handed over to the North Korean side Sunday, since its crewmembers had expressed their reluctance to stay in South Korea.

The boat had a four-strong crew.
