MOSCOW, October 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has underscored the importance of the continuing efforts of United Nations and Arab League Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi to form a Syrian opposition delegation for talks with the government and the necessity to ensure participation of all the key states of the region in the Geneve-2 conference.
Lavrov and Brahimi had a telephone talk on Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The envoy informed the minister about his trip to a number of states of the Middle East and contacts in connection with the preparation for the international conference Geneva-2 on Syria.
