Chemical weapons found in central Germany

BERLIN, October 24. (ITAR-TASS). — In the German town of Leuna (federal state of Saxony-Anhalt) in the central part of the country chemical warfare agents preserved since World War II were allegedly discovered on Thursday, according to local police reports.

Experts for explosive ordnance are currently working at the site of the incident. According to some reports, there was a gas leak. Local resident are being evacuated within a radius of 300 meters from the site.

No other details of the incident are currently available.
