BRUSSELS, October 7. (ITAR-TASS). - Three people went missing as a result of a collision of ‘Texel 68’ fishing vessel with tug ‘Maria’ that worked at an offshore oil platform in the North Sea. According to RTBF TV channel, the accident occurred last night off the coast of the Netherlands. After the collision the tug ‘Maria’ sank and ‘Texel 68’ was damaged but remained afloat.
Belgian and Dutch coast defense ships supported by the Coast Guard helicopter arrived at the site of the incident about an hour after. They managed to save two of the five sailors from the sunken tug.
