China declares ‘orange’ hazard level as typhoon Danas approaches

BEIJING, October 7. (ITAR-TASS). – China has declared an ‘orange’ hazard level in connection with the approach of typhoon Danas. This was reported on Monday by China’s National Center of forecasting weather conditions at sea.

The typhoon is expected to enter the East China Sea overnight from Monday to Tuesday. High sea is expected till noon on Tuesday. The wave height may reach 10 meters. Within the next 24-72 hours the typhoon will continue to shift to the north and north-east.

Danas is the 24th Pacific typhoon in a row in this season.

China has adopted a four-level alert system for natural disasters, in which the degree of increasing hazard is identified as blue, yellow, orange and red.
