PARIS, October 6 (Itar-Tass) - Authorities in Iran have detained four suspected saboteurs who were preparing a sortie at one of the nuclear facilities, the chief of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran /AEOI/, Ali Akbar Salehi said Sunday.

Agence France Presse quoted him as saying the authorities had uncovered subversive activities of a group of people at a nuclear installation.

“To get more information about what they had been doing, we first allowed them to go on and then detained them when an appropriate moment came,” Salehi said. “Their questioning is in progress.”

AFP said there was no information either on who the saboteurs were or on the type of facility where they had been operating.
