RIO-DE-JANEIRO, September 29 (Itar-Tass) - Russian tourist Sergei Danshin was killed in the municipality Marica, State Rio-de-Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday. According to the police, a 17-year-old Russian was killed by a gunshot in the head under unclear circumstances overnight to Saturday.

The Brazilian law enforcement agencies began the investigation in the murder case.

The Russian General Consulate in Rio-de-Janeiro confirmed the report about the murder of the Russian citizen and “began to fulfil all required consular actions jointly with the Brazilian law enforcement agencies.”
