TEHRAN, September 22 (Itar-Tass) - Iran is ready for negotiations with the West on its nuclear programme without preconditions, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday.
“Iran is ready for negotiations with the West, based on equality and mutual respect,” the president said.
Rouhani stressed the necessity to recognise the rights of Iran’s people, including the right for nuclear technologies and enrichment of uranium, and called on the West “not to think only about own interests.”
“The Iranian nations is against use of mass destruction weapons and observes all international conventions,” the president said.
