September 21 (Itar-Tass) - The Tajik Youth Union has unanimously nominated the country's current head Emomali Rakhmon as a candidate for the presidency.
The delegates at the congress of the organization on Saturday unanimously voted for the candidate.
The presidential elections will be held in Tajikistan on November 6.
Under the constitutional law on presidential elections, political parties, independent unions of workers, the Youth Union and regional authorities have the right to nominate candidates for the top state post.
