US State Department confirms plans Kerry, Lavrov, Ban to meet in New York to discuss Syria

The U.N. general secretary has earlier named September 28 as a possible date for the meeting

WASHINGTON, September 21 (Itar-Tass) - A tripartite meeting on Syria between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be held on the sidelines of the 68th session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, but the exact date of the meeting is not determined yet, Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. State Department Marie Harf told Itar-Tass at a news briefing for foreign journalists in Washington on Friday.
