TOKIO, September 19. (Itar-Tass). – The Russian Embassy in Japan received an official notification from the police department of Yamanashi Prefecture that arrested on Wednesday a female Russian citizen on suspicion of murder bid of her 4-year-old son.
As the Russian diplomatic mission told Itar-Tass on Thursday, according to the information received from Japanese police, the woman has already confessed that she indeed wanted to kill her child.
According to police data, a 33-year-old woman together with her Japanese husband and son was on a holiday cruiser that made trips on Lake Yamanaka. The woman allegedly threw the child overboard. The man jumped to save his son right off. The boy was saved and, as the police say, his life is not in danger.
An investigation of this case is currently underway.
