Explosion at Chinese primary school claims lives of 2, injures 17

Eyewitnesses say that the explosion was caused by a burning motorcycle that entered the school’s territory

BEIJING, September 9. (Itar-Tass). – Two people died and 17 were injured on Monday as a result of an explosion near a primary school building in Guiling, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. According to reports from Xinhua news agency, 10 of the injured are pupils of the school.

According to latest data, the blast went off in the morning, when the pupils were arriving to the lessons. Eyewitnesses say that the explosion was caused by a burning motorcycle that entered the school’s territory.

The blast broke the windows in nearby buildings and parked cars.

Firefighters and rescuers have arrived at the site of the incident. The reasons of the explosion are being specified.
