Moscow tells London it has to wait for UN mission’s findings in Syria

British Foreign Secretary William Hague telephoned his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday

MOSCOW, August 28 (Itar-Tass) - British Foreign Secretary William Hague telephoned his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday, August 28, to discuss the situation in Syria.

Hague briefed Lavrov on the British initiative to get the U.N. Security Council pass a resolution in response to alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria.

Lavrov stressed the need to wait for the results of the U.N. mission, which is investigating alleged chemical attacks in Syria.
