At present, the flood situation is difficult in China as in the Russian Far East

MOSCOW, August 21 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov expressed condolences to Chinese Minister of Civil Affairs Li Liguo on the death of people during the flood in the north-eastern province of Heilongjiang.

The Russian minister said he was grateful to China for timely information on the flood situation, the ministry’s spokesperson, Irina Rossius, told Itar-Tass.

“The flood is a disaster, which causes damage, brings eye-drops and grief. A human being and modern technique are powerless,” Puchkov said in the telegram to the Chinese minister.

“Under these circumstances, we’ve very grateful to the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Water Resources for operative and timely information on the situation in the province of Heilongjiang,” Rossius said.
