SOFIA, August 18 (Itar-Tass) - Nine people have been injured when a powerful explosion occur at one of the Chinese restaurants in Sofia downtown, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry reported.

One of the injured persons is in grave condition, policemen said.

The explosion caused serious damage to the building of the restaurant. The debris of the constructions spread several dozens of metres. The debris damaged cars, which drove near the spot.

According to preliminary data, a gas bottle exploded. Police arrived on the spot. Now policemen examine the area. Ambulances also arrive in the area of the incident.
