PARIS, August 15 (Itar-Tass) - France demands repressions should be immediately stopped in Egypt, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on Wednesday, August 14.
“France condemns bloody violence in Egypt and demands repressions be stopped immediately,” Fabius said.
“The Foreign Ministry addressed U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the partners to work out an international position on this issue,” Fabius said, adding, “The situation cannot be resolved by force.”
“France urges all parties involved in the conflict to give up the use of force and start a dialogue immediately that will include all political forces in Egypt,” the minister noted.
“It is necessary to settle the crisis by diplomatic means. Paris confirms its readiness to contribute to such dialogue,” the minister said.
