CHEBARKUL, Chelyabinsk region, August 12 (Itar-Tass) - Servicemen of the People’s Liberation Army of China have carried their combat tasks at a high level within the Peace Mission 2013 anti-terrorist exercise.
“For the first time Russian and Chinese servicemen conducted an operation to destroy imaginary terrorists. Chinese servicemen worked consistently with Russian colleagues and carried out their combat tasks,” chief of combat training of the Central Military District Ramil Gilyazov said.
It was not easy to achieve high figures: Chinese servicemen had to find a common language with Russian colleagues and fit themselves into surroundings. Powerful rainfalls hit the Chelyabinsk region, but they did not prevent the Russian-Chinese exercise, the Russian military said.
He said Russia and China would train other scenarios to kill terrorists on August 13-14. The exercise, which involves 1,500 servicemen and about 250 units of equipment, will end on August 15.
