BANGKOK, August 8 (Itar-Tass) - Police in the resort town of Pattaya, Thailand, have arrested a Russian tourist for stealing money from a box with donations installed in a supermarket, a local police report says.
Viktor Petrov, 20, was caught red-handed when he was carrying the “money box” of a Thai charitable foundation that contained slightly more than 60 dollars.
The Thai police said that the Russian had refused to cooperate with investigators and would face trial soon. Under local laws, he may be sentenced to three years in prison.
