PRETORIA, August 7 (Itar-Tass) - Russian citizens “did not turn for help to the Russian Embassy in Kenya” after a fire, which broke out at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, the Russian diplomatic mission told Itar-Tass on Wednesday, adding that no direct flights are made in Nairobi from Russia and the CIS states.
The air harbor is closed for an indefinite period of time. Airplanes are redirected to other airports. The arrival gates burnt down almost completely, departure gates are also strongly damaged. All passengers were evacuated and nobody was injured.
