Fire put out at aquatic park in Tbilisi, no people injured

The reasons for the fire are unclear yet, the investigation was launched

TBILISI, July 17 (Itar-Tass) - A major fire, which broke out at the Tbilisi aquatic part late on Tuesday evening, is put out completely, head of the emergency situation service in the Georgian capital Temur Georgadze, who is staying at the incident site, told reporters.

“The fire engulfed over 1,000 square metres, several water rides and bungalows caught fire,” he noted. “There was some danger that the fire will spread on other premises of the aquatic park, but the firemen succeeded to avert this,” Georgadze added.

No one was injured in the fire. The reasons for the fire are unclear yet, the investigation was launched.
