MOSCOW, July 11 (Itar-Tass) - The Emergency Situations Ministry has sent two planes to Syria with humanitarian aid aboard for Palestinian refugees, the ministry’s spokesman, Oleg Voronov, told Itar-Tass.

“In the morning two Il-76 planes have left to Syria. The planes carry 35 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Palestinian refugees staying in Syria,” Voronov said.

Foodstuffs are also being supplied to Syria, he added.

“Humanitarian aid is being provided on the instruction of the Russian government in order to make contribution to Palestinian refugees staying in Syria,” the spokesman said.
