IAC considers crewmembers’ wrong actions and low visibility reasons of An-2 crash in Kyrgyzstan

The An-2 plane crashed on June 24 when it fought the locust invasion

MOSCOW, July 10 (Itar-Tass) - The crewmembers’ wrong actions and low visibility have become reasons for the crash of the An-2 plane in Kyrgyzstan, the Interstate Aviation Committee’s commission reported on Wednesday.

The An-2 plane crashed on June 24 when it fought the locust invasion. Three people died as a result of the crash.

“The crash was conditioned by the collision with the power line’s wires when the crewmembers carried out crop dusting in the mountains,” the commission said.

At the same time, the IAC reported that the crash had been conditioned by several factors: “the crewmembers’ wrong actions such as the lack of attention... The turn has been done with the bigger wing rock and at the lower height”.

“Recommendations were given to increase flights’ safety,” the IAC said.
