MOSCOW, May 30 (Itar-Tass) - One has the impression that the radical Syrian opposition is doing its utmost to induce an armed intervention, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the media.
“One has the impression that the national coalition and its regional sponsors are doing their utmost in a bid to prevent the beginning of a political process and resort to all means, including brain-washing in the West in order to induce military intervention. We regard such approaches as impermissible,” he said.
“We also believe that the national coalition is not the sole representative of the Syrian people,” Lavrov said. He believes that in the opposition there are other serious groups.
“The coalition has no constructive platform,” Lavrov said.
