Kazakh president suggests int’l organization be set up to study fundamental global problems

He suggested a G-Global board of trustees be established on the example of the Rome-Madrid club

ASTANA, May 23 (Itar-Tass) - Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has suggested an international organization for the study of fundamental global problems be established on the basis of the G-Global initiative.

“I hope very much that the number of G-Global followers will grow. To develop this idea still further, I suggest a G-Global board of trustees be established on the example of the Rome-Madrid club in order to finance the study of fundamental aspects in the world,” he said on Thursday, opening the Astana Economic Forum.

The G-Global internet portal has been established on the initiative of the Kazakh leader to discuss and work out mechanisms of surmounting the global financial crisis and to involve in this process as many participants as possible. In all, some three million internet users from 160 world countries have already taken part in the G-Global discussions.
