LJUBLJANA, May 3 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow is ready for talks with any groups of Syrian opposition, including the Free Syrian Army, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday, commenting a remark by Salim Idris, the Free Syrian Army commander, who said he was ready to meet Russian officials at any time.
"I have not heard about this statement but if it’s true we are open for conversation with all groups,” the Russian foreign minister emphasized.
"But we should search for ways of ending violence neither in Moscow nor in other countries but in direct talks between the government and the Syrian opposition as provided for by the Geneva Communique,” Lavrov said.
