Ukraine’s entry in Customs Union as 3+1 impossible – Medvedev

There won’t’ be any ‘three plus one', either all or nothing,” Russian Prime Minister stressed

GORKI, March 18 (Itar-Tass) – Ukraine’s joining the Customs Union within the “three plus one” format is impossible, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a session with his deputies on Monday.

“It is evident that only the state that has passed and ratified all documents of the Customs Union and the Economic Union can become a member state of the Customs Union and the future Eurasian Economic Union,” he stressed.

“All the rest is not membership, it can be an observer status, this is something different,” he added. “Our Ukrainian friends like to speculate on the issue of joining as three plus one, and so on. There won’t’ be any ‘three plus one', either all or nothing,” he added.
